Well with less than a month to go before we kick this off I thought I should provide a bit of an update as to where things are at.

  • We have 28 Confirmed Riders (please complete the Confirmed Riders Register if you are coming)
  • 16 Riders are starting at Cape Reinga
  • 7 Riders are staring at Picton
  • 14 Riders are joining us in Napier
  • 22 Riders are finishing in Invercargill (I trust you have booked your Burt Munro Tickets)
  • 14 Riders are doing the whole trip (that’s around 4,000 ks)
  • 6 Riders are crashing with Garry in Wellington
  • 7 Riders are crashing with Malcolm in Hamilton (or just North of it)
  • 14 Riders are crashing with Rosco just North of Kaitaia
  • $4,685 has been raised for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (surely we can do better than that!)

So all in all its shaping up to a pretty awesome adventure.  We have all our stickers printed and just finalising the Ride Booklet, remember we will only be printing enough to cover those that complete the Confirmed Riders Register. By now you should have booked all your accommodation, the ferry and your Burt Munro tickets.  Last but not least we are expecting all riders to do some fundraising for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service so setup your Donation Page and start fund-rasing.

Excellent – not too big, not too small, just about right! Looking forward to meeting up in Picton on the way north on the 11th…While I do not have a fundraising page I am doing a bit here in Nelson for the Nelson and Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Trust, and you can add the $1150 I’ve raised so far to the grand total.

Kind regards, and although I have yet to meet him please pass on my best wishes to Warren.

    Hey all,

Life has changed a bit in the Williams house. I will no longer be able to make on the south island leg.

    Not impressed!!!
